The Spa  |  A luxurious retreat

The Spa was born of an intriguing request from a returning client: could their basement mother-in-law apartment be recreated as a haven for relaxation and renewal? Dated, nearly windowless and hemmed in by mechanical systems, the space had its share of challenges — but in the end, we were able to transform it into an indulgent sanctuary, complete with a generous walk-in shower, a full sauna, an exercise space, a half bath and a resting room for stretching and relaxing.

The result reflects our clients' unique creative flair, with a striking Icelandic aesthetic including limestone-inspired porcelain tile, graphite cork floors and acacia wood benches — and fun details like colorful accent lighting, a "starry night" ceiling, high-quality audio throughout, and (in case inspiration should strike) room for a couple of electric guitars.
